My FJR Made the Paper!

Since folks were wondering where I was gonna be, I thought I'd share the planned rounte. I probably should have put this in PNW Rides but I didn't want to break the thread. My apologies if I goofed up.

8/7--Day One: Home (Gig Harbor) to Clallam Bay/Neah Bay

8/8--Day Two: Clallam Bay/Neah Bay to Tokeland (Happy Birthday to Me!)

8/9--Day Three: Tokeland to Gresham, OR (Hey, I gotta play with the grandkids!)

8/10--Day Four: Gresham to Walla Walla

8/11--Day Five: Walla Walla to Airway Heights/Mt. Spokane (My nephew--Air Force Reserve--and some of his buddies have asked me to ride with them to Mt. Spokane for a ceremony to honor friends they've lost in Iraq and Afgahnistan.)

8/12--Day Six: Airway Heights to Omak

8/13--Day Seven: Omak to Blaine

8/14--Day Eight: Blaine to Home

I'll be sending out a ping to some folks that talked about the possibility of meeting and having a bite to eat and shootin' the breeze. If ya know of an inexpensive place to stay after Tokeland, I'm all ears.

Thanks all. I plan on taking alot of pics and taking notes...and having an enjoyable time. If I don't get back by the 14th, well, I'll call and let the wife know. One or two more days is no worries.

What a gig! Ride around the state, using education as a reason and the plus side would be getting the state to pay for it. :yahoo:

Seriously, very cool! Great idea, I'm sure the students will enjoy it and learn a lot, and I know you'll really enjoy it.
