hello fellow riders

did another 120 miles today, was beautiful and couldn't resist so left work early.

so now im just short of 600, not quite 1 week old, have service set up for next week, and have some thoughts on farkles.

first let me say how much i love this bike, and how happy i am to be a proud owner. that said, a few 'tweaks' would make it perfect for the many miles that i intend on logging.

seat- stock seat really doesnt get it for me, although is fractionally better than first ride.

handlebars- really would like riser, at least 1/2 inch, full inch would definately work.

grips- would like fatter, softer

some sort of throttle lock- cruise control- have vista cruise on v-max, had throttle meister on bmw, havent decided which i prefer, they both have pros and cons. but definately need something.

if there is somebody, anybody that has info on availabilty of these items for 06 model, i would really appreciate that.

also if there is any input from people who have these things already, please share your knowledge/experience.

thanks alot folks

tony

Seat: Think Russell. They make seats on your "pan". You'd probably should call them.

Risers: Skyway has a posting under "Parts"...when he gets enough response he'll be making some.

Grips: Fatter and softer=Grip Puppies. Not for me, but many really like them.

Throttlelock: I wouldn't be without one, and I've used both you mentioned. One is simpler to use.

I'll be installing a Vista Cruise this weekend. I going for the one that everyone has used on the prior years = the yamaha 7/8" model - dual or single cable type.

Looks like you definitely have to file that tab off of it - and probably have to drill the little "stop" hole. Maybe have to shorten up the grip on that side - but maybe not. We'll see on Saturday.

Will also be installing the Vee Strom hand guards.

Already did the chrome heat shields

Will be looking for wiring locations.
