Not Safe For Work
I clicked on a posted thread tonight, and the way we do, I started chasing other interesting-looking videos posted in YouTube till I came to the one below.
Last summer I was fortunate enough to join a group of folks from the forum and the Arizona Beemers group on a guided 8-day tour of the Alps. I've raved about it here before, so I won't repeat myself, but the--THE--very most memorable piece of road I've ever seen was the Stelvio Pass coming into Switzerland from Italy. So when I saw a link to a posted ride up the pass from the south--the same way we came--I couldn't resist. I'd say the video starts half way up, maybe a bit more. This guy was riding a K1600 GTL, and had the freedom (and the power) to set his own pace. Nothing extreme, the road doesn't LET you be too extreme, but a good rider very capable of getting by whatever he wanted.
One of the coolest parts of the vid is the accompanying music. It really seemed to evoke the feeling of the magical location and the rhythm of the alternating left and right very tight turns. I really just got lost in it. Take ten minutes and enjoy.
