Congrats on the new scooter! The advice Dad always gave me...Remember, shiny side up. That, and...Keep it between the ditches. I just put my new Givi 47 on last night with the candy red cover and back pad. Looking to take it for a nice day ride this weekend with the SO on back and see how she enjoys a bit more aggressive riding as she rests comfortably against something solid behind her (no jokes on that please...).

I hate to ride in the rain and only do it when caught away from home and no way to circumvent the stuff. The bike gets cleaned immediately after such exposure. Get the red side panels to replace the silver ones and you will be bombarded with curious onlookers asking if that is a BMW. Good luck with your new ride!!
I'm definitely interested in the red side panels. I think I'd like to modify the band under the tank to be black, also, maybe pick up a replacement for a Canadian ES. That seems like it would be a pretty sharp combination. Other mods I'm considering are: Sargent seat, Motovation sliders, top case, Ram mounts, ...

I don't particularly like to ride in the rain, either, but in Oregon where it's more likely to rain than not for 8 months of the year, you'd hardly ride at all if you didn't at least take the chance. That being said, I don't usually start a ride in the rain, but if it ends in the rain, I'm OK with that.
Congrats on the new ride! Here is what she would look like with the red side panels, the black 09 tank band, T-Rex sliders, and the louver wrapped with CF vinyl. Have been asked many times about my "BMW"!

Very sharp! I may have to copy some of this. I was already looking at the side covers...and I really like the CF wrap. Imitation the best form of flattery?? But I like my clear shield...and will probably leave the tank band alone.

looks like my bike, only cleaner. I bought some of the CF wrap, but been too lazy/chickenshit to try it.

That's exactly what I was thinking about! Looks great! Is that a Sargent seat? And, what shield do you have there? I've thought a tinted, or black, shield would be great, as I always look over it anyway. And, how about those bar ends? Do they come in black?

Yup, it's a Sargent that I kept off my 08. Looks brand new yet too with 36000 mi. Wind screen is a Cee Baileys dark grey tinted sport shield. It is 1" taller than stock with a barely perceptible reverse flip. Bar end are off the 08 as well. Not sure but I think they are from Motovation? BTW the rear rack is from Garauld here on the forum. Very nice piece i might add.

I've only been on the forum for a couple of months, but I'm already aware of the high quality parts that Garauld produces. Thanks for the info on the parts you've added. A couple of other questions, if I may. Is it easy to get the reflectors off the side cases? And, how about that fender extender? That looks pretty sharp, and pretty much just blends in like it was there from the factory.

Thanks!

Careful twisted...this is how it all starts! You better hide the CCs now before you do too much damage!! ;-)

That is SOOOO close to perfection in the "looks" department...

Just needs the rider and passenger foot peg brackets and swing arm powder-coated black to achieve 100% visual Nirvana!

I was thinking black anodized passenger foot peg brackets ...

Fender extender on order today, Sargent seat tomorrow (performance plus w/red welt)

Bogus has done a great job of making his bike a conversation item at any biker gas stop. I did most of what he has done. I covered by tank band with the carbon fibre contact wrap. I have a black band as well but like the carbon fibre better. I also covered the panel below the radiator with the carbon fibre wrap. I would recommend you get a tank pad as well. I have a Suzuki pad that is carbon fibre look. It has no labelling. Nice to see those reflectors off the bags and the FJR labels removed from the fairings. Good job Bogus!!

For sure! That's a great look. Now I have a Sargent rider seat with red welt and Motovation sliders on order. Looking for tank protector pad, or maybe some of that 3M stuff. Waffling somewhat on that.
