I think all the dealer does is take the bike out of the crate, put the front wheel and saddlebags on....... well maybe they had to remove the dash panel to hook up or charge the battery.........
My '13 is like that. I thought/think it's weird too, but mine doesn't tweet. My new 2014 is squeaking, or chirping, in the plastic area around the front display area. Only hear it at slow speeds, but really annoying, Almost seems like the plastic panels are rubbing against each other, but to much noise for simple plastic parts. Any hints before I wind up tearing everything apart, with the possibility that I will only make it worse? Could it be the forks right below these plastic parts that I'm hearing?
Did find something strange when I insured that all the connectors were tight. The very upper left black connecter helping hold the center plastic to the upper front requires an allen wrench to tighten it, but on the direct opposite side, that right connector requires a screwdriver to turn it. Seems weird that these connectors performing the same function are not identical pieces.
And therein could lie the problem... (just sayin'... based on the OP's description of the symptoms). FWIW I've never noticed any "squeaking" on my 2013, but then again I always ride with ear plugs and with my Schuberth visor down.I think all the dealer does is take the bike out of the crate, put the front wheel and saddlebags on....... well maybe they had to remove the dash panel to hook up or charge the battery.........
You could just drown that birdie with something like these...
Yeah. Between a little squeak, missing mud flaps, missing fuel tank roundels, and side panel colours we've had all the hot topics covered lately, haven't we?Lotta noise over a little noise..
It doesn't matter. The voices in my head are way louder than anything the bike normally does.Yeah. Between a little squeak, missing mud flaps, missing fuel tank roundels, and side panel colours we've had all the hot topics covered lately, haven't we?Lotta noise over a little noise..
Kinda like the wife now, eh?Guess I am getting used to the squeaking... still hear it, but not annoying anymore, just now a personality problem with the bike.
