My Thoughts On The '06

The assembly to the right of the horn button is what switches the AE version from foot shift to hand switch, according to the Yamaha rep at the unveiling.

I like the color of the 04 the best by far,

The new silver is awesome, too bad you have to go the route of the AE to get it.

Isn't it the same as the '04?

too bad the FJR doesn't have a black model.

I'd love to see one, but I'd hate to own it (and have to try and keep it clean).

That fairing might just work by swooping air over the top of a rider's helmet in full crotch rocket position! The wheel base is really long on this prototype, so I don't think it "qualifies" as an upright "tourer" in the rider's riding position. No mirrors, unless there is some plan for a rear video display? The roomy rear "might" accomodate the usual compliment of 3/E-46 boxes quite well though! It really 'looks like" it's in the class of a a Buell, but why the shaft?

I hope I get a look at it in San Jose this weekend! :bigeyes:

Well as my favorite colors are blue or green, I was really disapointed I was unable at the time to purchase an 05 but to my surprise the good Lord allowed me to purchase the 06 and I think this new color is even better than the 05 in my book. I'll get to see it close up today as we are getting ready to leave for the San Jose show and will be working the free gear checkin booth courtesy of CMA. Hope to see and meet some of you there. I'm just happy to have the 06 on order although I would have preferred a more distict color option. I think the bike would be awesome in something similar to the color of the 05 goldwings. Then again, they could have given us yellow and black

All I gotta say about the '06 is that it will be one HAPPEEE day when mine finally shows up in March...even if there's a blizzard dumpinn on us at the time! Where izz March anyhooo??? DFO <_<
