Gunny1 GB, don't forget to let your boss know you still need that vacation time at the end of July. Looking forward to meeting you in Utah.

Galaxy,

Very glad to hear you are recovering and able to go back to work!! At least it happened to you while you are younger and proactively managing your life style for a longer and brighter future.

My Best to you!

Adam, that's good news and glad to hear it.

As a member of the "zipper club" I can tell you it takes about a full year for your chest to fully heal and to get your strength back. So, be patient and take care of yourself.

Mike

See! Thats how stealthy I was!! No one noticed that I wasn't really drinkin em. cept maybe dcarver. i think he busted me. I'm just gonna watch this year. ;)

Adam, congrats, that's good news. It sounds then you do not have any infarcted (dead from blood starvation) heart muscle. That is a huge victory for you! If the echo also showed good motion (no hypokinesis or activation delays), you are basically getting away with a written warning but no points or court appearances, if you know what I mean.
I know you know this, but you are really going to increase those lifestyle improvements to counteract the short straw you drew.

Good luck on your continued recovery!

Love the analogy. This was definitely a wake up call, but you obviously got the message loud and clear. It's great to hear that you're doing well. Keep up the good work.

Well, as many of you know, I had a heart attack Febuary 12th, And a 5 way heart bypass on the 22nd...
I was employed as a truck driver before this all happend, And i have not been to work since. The DOT said i had to have a minimum of 90 days off work from the last surgery, which was May 23rd. I should have been able to return then, But i needed an Echo-Cardiogram to determine the ejection fraction of my heart. The DOT requires that it be 40% or higher to return to driving. So i scheduled an appt with the cardiologist on wednesday, And i called to get the results today, And my ejection is 63%!!!! :clapping:

I should return to work on tuesday! :)
congratulations! odd that government should be so concerned about your erection though.

...what was that?

...eJection?

...never mind.

again: all good news! thanks for keeping us posted like this.
