Looks pretty cool. Show us a pic of the actually on the feej. Overlay looks ok but does not give a real look see at what it really looks like.

Is there an issue with height of objects on the dash when the wishield retracts? Looks great BTW. Does it attach with exsisting holes or do you need to drill new holes to mount? Thanks in advance for your reply. Do you plan to make one to fit an 06?

How does this work on an 06? Any difficulties?

Send me one and I'll try it out and take photos for ya :)

'Ditto' on the do you have to drill holes, or does it use stock mounting stuff, and does it change, affect or interfere with the windshield up-n-down.

I like.

Oh I see, for models 03-05 per website... https://brydenscot.com/?p=21

Installation instruction found there too.

The only thing you have to be careful of is how far back you mount your GPS. The windshield will not hit your garmin bracket or similar if done properly. It mounts with all existing manufacturers holes. It will not scratch paint or take away from the current styling of the bike.

The 06 version is under development and am taking orders. Delivery time for 06 is approximately 6-8 weeks.

The 03 thru 05 dashes are in stock, can ship same day.

Thank you for your interest

Hey, Just installed a N/line dash on my '05. Everything fit and is one of the best farkles I have added so far. Its a nice solid shelf and looks great with the only down side being it might take a little longer to remove the fairing panels but I can live w/ that. For now I only have my Escort X50 and a radar alert light mounted but there is lots of room to add more toys.

Scott sold me one of these at WFO-4 in Washington and it is a first-class piece of work. Major bonus: it shields those assclown green turn signal indicators enough so that you can actually see them (and cancel them) rather than driving for miles with forgotten signals!

Any info Re availability of bracket for the '06. I'm farkling my bike for a couple of upcoming rallies and sure would like to have one of your brackets to do things "right".

TIA,

Pat

Please be patient, it will be worth the wait. The first fitting is happening this week, we are getting close!

Hi Cateye,

Thanks for your rapid response. Hate to keep bugging you but can you give me a PM with approx date of availability. I'm exploring temporary alternatives to mount my GPS, Radar Mounts etc. and will hold off with temporary fixes if shelf is available soon.

TIA,

Pat

Just train yourself to cancel them on the upshift, and your only worry is lane changes. :thumbsupsmiley:

PS... likewise on the "let me know when the '06 model is available". I'd end up spending more than that on RAM stuff just to get me close.

Thanks!

The first fitting went well today. TurboDave has helped by bringing his motorcycle to my shop.

I can safely say end of September for production units. I should have a 2nd prototype on Daves bike next week for the road test, give him a week or so to ride like the wind, then make final tweaks and run 25 units. I don't want to put anything out there that is not up to my standards which are very high. I will be posting an offer for a group buy, at a discount, in early Sept.

Thanks for your patience.

Scott (cateye)

Hi Cateye,

Thanks again for your rapid response. Can I reserve, (pay now), for unit? If so let me know the particulars and "check will be in the mail" or paypal or ?

TIA,

Pat

CatEye77 - I really like the idea of this shelf. For my own purposes, I'm really only looking at mounting my GPS and my Chatterbox on it. I like the idea of *not* having to run a bunch of stuff to the handlebars, and being able to run a (semi)permenant power line up to the shelf feels better than some amount of cable going to the bars. I'm in the midst of making a cradle for the ChatterBox which will include a power connector built in to elminate one more thing to plug in when mounting up the electronics. I wish there was a decent COM solution that worked like the GPS units typically do - with a full-featured cradle with all connections internal. ah well.

anyway, let me know when the shelves are ready. I do believe I'll take one for the '06.

Thanks.

To all you 06 folks,

FJR06 Dash

The second fitting happened on Monday. My new friend "Turbo Dave" and Ian Lang of Skyway Machine brought the motorcycle to my shop. Thank you very much. I believe we are ready to make a limited run. I'm going to sell the first production for 95.00 + freight ($10.00-15.00). Sign up now for this price. The deadline will be Ffriday Sept 15th.

Pictures will be posted as soon as I get the pre-production model on Turbo Daves bike next week. It will just have some satin black paint on it for the pictures.

Thanks for you interest.
