A big attraction on the Gateway Loop is the amazing car museum, it really is impressive. I was unable to create the link, so Google: Gateway Colorado Car Museum. Or maybe someone can provide the link for me.

I can see myself in that picture.

And my schedule cleared up such that I can leave EARLY!! Woo hoo! The scorching heat and too damn many gorgeous COBDR pictures posted by Smitty convinced me ... I'm trailering and bringing both bikes!

Trailer's loaded, half my garage is packed into the truck, and I'm heading out at 6 AM. I should arrive in Montrose Sunday late afternoon to begin prepping for a week of some awesome riding and to meet some great folks!!

I'm also thinking about riding up to Yellowstone for a few days after NAFO so I'll be looking for your expert tips on camping and riding in Jellystone from any of you folks that have done that.

has any one had time to shove these routes into GPX?

I've about had it with basecamp...it's adding little side trips between waypoints that I never selected...

EDIT::

if not, that's fine. I know which routes I'd like to take and I'll find a group going on those routes... I hope :)

Newer updates of Basecamp seem to need more waypoints than ever to stay on the users planned track. Also, sometimes the GPS may take those waypoints and route the journey differently than Basecamp. I think everything worked better before the Garmin GPS and Basecamp updates about a year ago.

Still, even with the Garmin and Basecamp deficiencies, it still works better than other GPSs and software I've tried. At least it does for me.

I had some whiskey and put them together. I will have them on a USB stick, or I can share my google drive folder with them.

*I make no claims to their accuracy and please review them before setting out*

If I get lost, eh...if y'all get lost, I might feel bad...mostly.

I doubt if construction on %%) will be over by rally time but don't sweet it there are so many other great routes to take that you won't miss it.

Thats hwy 550.

I've got 1000 CO miles under my belt so far since last Thur and have hit several areas of construction. Just deal with it and keep going. I wouldn't skip any routes on your wishlist because of it. None were that bad, waiting out. 550 is a must for anyone who has not done it, especially being so close to Montrose. We've hit a couple sporatic showers but they move on quickly. Trip is halfway over for us and it's going way too quickly. Pike's Peak has been knocked off the bucket list.
