OK, so someday I'll learn to post an image, In the beween time, heres what happened.

I'm taking my Dale (airedale terrier) for a walk in the local park, and amazing as it is he is being good, he's staying out on a loose leash, not pulling or anything.

So we're walking along very relaxed, enjoying the cool spring breeze, the trees are starting to bud, the grass is turning green,my FJR will be here soon, life is good.

Suddenly the dog turns to stone. frozen, head out, ears up, back straight, left paw half rised, Rabbit at 2 o'clock. The look on Mr. Bunny's faced is OH ****, and he turns and he's off. Before I can tighten up on the leash its gone, Dogs almost on rabbit, rabbit cuts left gains a few paces, dog regains ground, dogs head is down, jaws open, rabbit cuts right, dog over shoots turn, but comes around quickly and regains lost ground, uhoh rabbit makeing for a patch of briar bushes-- rabbits in the bushes, dogs in the bushes, rabbit hangs a uey and comes back out, dog tries to follow but loses it and goes down half way tru the turn and tumbles. Mr. Bunny is gone.

I go to retrieve my dog, He now looks like animated velcro, his got burrs and briars all over him, after siting in the park and picking on him for an hour, I decide emergency grooming is the only way. I take him to the groomers, after Lisa got tru laughing, she said Ok I'll take care of him, but you're only going to get half a dog back.

I hope when the FJR gets here it handles half as well as that rabbit.

That title really had me worried, I was ready to throw my computer out the window if it was WC!

Good story though, Don't ya love dogs! Mine allmost got a cat in the yard last week.... I'm not sure if he would have know what to do with it if he cought it.

When I saw the title I thought is was about Dale Walker and said this is odd , a little out of character .

My Husky Kiska used to chase the Bunnies all the time. He left domisticated animals alone though.

ionbeam, always tip the groomers, least they let the dogs on ya!

Hey guys, what's the date to day?

Ionbeam only bumped the picture to this thread until Airboss tweaked his link. Backing out of this thread...... BTW, my Norwegian Forrest Cat would own your Airhead, err Air Dale's butt. ;)

There are only three types of animals that my dog has killed:

1 Rabbit (big fat neighbor's rabbit that decided to come into our yard when the kids left it out of its cage :( )

3 Squirrels

I dunno how many roof rats (we have cats that bring them home alive and Bonnie quickly dispatches them.)

She was in the process of killing a cat that was fighting with one of our cats but I yelled "DROP IT!" and she did!

All successful kills have been rodents. Dogs hate rodents.

My very mellow black lab/queenslandheeler mix accidentally caught a rabbit.. the rabbit zigged when Harley (yes HARLEY! ;) ) zagged, and Harley suddenly had the first rabbit in his chompers.. Talk about suprised! I called him, he came, and even dropped the rabbit on command...

the rabbitt, happy to be alive, but afraid to move, just sat there for over a minute.. then realized his chance was now.. and sped off.. with HarleyDog in chase..

I think both had fun with it, but the dog proll'y more so than peter rabbit.
