Abercrombie, are you taking the next one? I am seeing this in a parking lot because of the Nashville bombing. We have had no cell or internet since noon Christmas.

I got this.  I love the guessing part but hate the picking part.

Here you go.

Desert View Watchtower at the Grand Canyon South Rim?
You got it!  Funny thing is I took this picture five years ago but couldn't remember where or what it was.  The picture was from my 2015 SW-FOG Cedar City UT trip where we dipped South into Pheonix and hit the South Rim before meeting up with the SW-FOG folks.

I think I got this.  Cadillac Mountain, Arcadia National Park.

Full disclaimer - I checked the internet before my guess, but you'll have to agree that I had to know what to search for.

I've been to this place and I recognized it as soon as Goodman posted it.  The "northeast" clue sealed it.

Sorry HPPants. You're right that it looks a lot like Cadillac Mtn. On this trip we went to Bar Harbor the following day. But this is over 100 miles west and a great view of another area.  I can't remember who recommended this road and the overlook to us, but we found it very peaceful.

The pic above is the placard of the location that I blurred the words out.

I took a break near this overlook and laid on a rock and looked at the sky. When I got back to the bike I had lost my keys.  That wasn't much fun but Tammy carries a backup key so we were not as panicked as we otherwise would have been. Two minutes after leaving we saw our first moose on the motorcycle:

I think some of our New Hampshire and Vermont friends would recognize this place and the lake it overlooks.

I had a feeling it was in the Northeast and would even venture a guess as to the lake but it would be just a guess.  I'll leave it for someone who's sure and maybe could even identify the overlook.

Correct! Hwy 17 up by Mooselookmeguntic Lake then you can take 4 by Rangeley for a nice ride.

Do you want to post RossKean?
Sure.

We'll start with this as a Canada location.  Coastal (obviously).  A bit off the beaten track and 19 km from any Google street view.

If it is too obscure as a specific location, I'll try another.
