Most people who are likely to score a high Dixie percentage would be unable to understand most of those questions.

I got 63% Dixie.

21% Dixie. I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy.

That's about right. Northeastern CT. all my life.

We have a Bostonian/New York/Rhode Islandish accent.

Yes, Rhode Island is a state.

And it's a soda and grinder for lunch! ;)

57% Dixie.

You see...I was born and raised in South Carolina and then moved to Michigan when I was 18....and promptly learned that "damn" and "yankee" were TWO DIFFERENT WORDS. That should have been on the test.

Michigan must have rubbed off on me because I recognized how I would have answered before I moved. Now it is "pop" and "you guys" . I still can't understand why these idiots up here pronounce Charlotte, Michigan as char-LOTTE instead of the correct CHARlotte....LOL.

74% Dixie

Completely inaccurate test. Born, raised, educated, and live in central Alabama.

I would make that 100% Dixie.

I guess I'm just another failure of the Southern Education system. But what % accuracy would one expect from HA VAHED?

How could I be 28% Yankee Doodle Dandy when I was born and raised in California, my grandparents are from the Pacific Northwest and Mid-West, respectively and I spent 1 year in GA and FL at Navy schools?

Hmmmmmm. <_< As someone has already stated, this from a school that pronounces its name Hah-ved, refers to an island South of FL as "Cuber", and has huge lots where they "pahk the cah".

57% Dixie. I agree with FJRFencer, this test is inaccurate. Born and Raised in Arkansas ( Don't hold it against me). 100% Dixie to me.

66% Dixie. Born in Texas, I live in Texas, but grew up all over the world (Army brat).

However, don't judge IQ by a person's accent. You can make some wide mistakes like that.

That being said, don't you find it difficult living in Arkansas, I mean, having to marry blood kin, and pulling all but three teeth, and all that?

:D

Well I just now came across this thread. I haven't looked at the test yet so i'm going to do an experiment. I was born in TX and lived there for 10 yrs

I then moved to the Virgin Islands for 4 yrs. Then to New Jersey for 5 yrs and finally OK for the past 30. Now what % dixie will I be?

I'm going to guess 65%

Glenn

Off to take the test.
