Rode in this morning after having re-installed my "summer" windscreen (the stock screen); forgot just how much air flowed with it...I was almost cold.

I'll ride to work most days unless the weather is total crap or the heat/humidity is just too oppressive.
I will be doing that this week.

Since I work right over my own garage, I just went down and put on ATGATT and sat on the bike.

Before I knew what happened I was at work. Think I may walk home after work though as it's a little too hot for ATGATT.

Only counts if you made the appropriate Vroom Vroom motor noises for at least 30 uninterrupted seconds. JSNS

I ride every chance I get. Even though the only other bikes in the lot are a Harley and some kind of Suzuki 3 wheel abortion with an aluminum truck box on the back. I did not know about the annual event. US 40 west from Plainfield is getting brand new pavement. A damn shame it is so straight.

The weather for Ride-to-Work day has been consistent over the years and yesterday did not disappoint- the power in the office winked out for the last time around 3:45 and we escaped at 4 pm, by then the thunderstorm had moved south and was waiting between me and home, but I had the foresight to bring the rain suit. Traffic was slowed by people who struggle with heavy rain, and tree debris on the roads. Rode through everything from light rain to torrential rain, and a little hail. It was kinda fun and most of the bugs were blasted off the bike by the time I got home.

Passed a few bikes sitting under bridges because the riders did not have rain gear, and tried not to feel too smug . . . . . .
