I know that I have seen many posts and comments on different companies and prices before, but I need you guy's recommendations since those were long time ago. Years don't go in vane and I cant' remember crap... I am going to transfer my baby from Tampa Bay to San Antonio, TX. Any ideas and what I should be looking price wise?

I don't have the name of the company at the moment that I got prices from to get a bike from Miami to Atlanta but seems like the best I could do was about $650. I ended up just flying to Miami and getting the bike myself. Buy me a ticket to Tampa and one back to Atlanta and I will ride it for you!

Also noticed you are in Atlanta, why would you want it in San Antonio?

"Haul Bikes" has been good to a few of my friends. I had good luck door to door transporting a bike to my brother by "Express Auto Transport.

I shipped an FJ 1200 from Lewisville Tx. to Tallahassee, Fla. in October of 2005. Weight was listed at 600lbs and cost was $693.

I used JC Motors Transport.

I would imagine the cost has risen somewhat due to fuel prices.

From Google:

1,165 mi – about 17 hours 29 mins
And then, you can have an SS1K!

or:

www.haulbikes.com I used them in the dead of winter to acquire my bike from Mi.

Your call....

I've used these guys a couple of times with great sucess. Clicky They will pick up the bike from your driveway and drop it off anywhere you want. Back and forth from Houston to L.A. cost about $1100. Within a few dollars of everybody else plus the pick up drop off bonus. It helps if you have a set of Canyon Dancers, they just have regular tiedowns.

Thanks guys, the reason I want to take it to San Antonio is because I am deployed for a year there. Cannot be without my Fejer that long, so I'll bring her up next month or so. I will consider all options including flying back and driving in a pick up but I guess plane trip, fuel, and beer will put the ticket well beyong transport company quotes...So figure that out!!!
