Need Help with 06 Fork Problem

Who assembled your fork legs the last time?

Fred, it was an independent shop in florida that the previous owner used. I dont know the name right off hand.

I think they somehow installed the cartridge into the lower fork leg before they installed the upper tubes, which drove the top-out springs off their seats and into the position you found them. Either that or they didn't know where those springs were supposed to be? I can't see any way that the springs migrated down there on their own.

At least you know they are correct now.

Glad you were able to get it all sorted. That's a pretty crazy problem to have though.
