Need San Fran area info for tires ASAP

I am 2300 miles from home and my tires will not make it back. I need some local knowledge about where to buy tires. Please give me some places to check out. I am leaving town on Wednesday. I am in Foster City. Thanks.

If you're looking for a place to sell and install them, and if you're heading east--recommend our local go-to Yamaha shop, Roseville Yamaha, just past Sacramento on I-80. They're competitive and they do a good job. Good peeps. Leaving the advice for buying tires for self-installation to somebody who does that. Not me.

Only because I am planning on heading up the coast toward Oregon.

Tyler passed on the following Bay Area locations to me for you.

Cycle Gear _ several locations with Redwood City probably the closest

Santa Clara Cycle.

As to brands - look on here but Michelin PR4 seem popular as well as PR 2

Also Pirelli Angel's

I hate to mention the evil 'D' word, however there are several Yamaha dealers in the neighborhood. Foster city is in a rather large metropolitan area.

East Bay Motorsports is just across the Bay Bridge in Hayward. I've had good dealings with them. They open tomorrow @9:00 am. They're bound to have a tire for you.

The extra added bonus is if you want to avoid the mess called San Francisco, you can head up the East Bay a bit and take the Richmond-San Raphael Bridge (Interstate 580) on over to Marin, then head up the coast from there.

KC Engineering in downtown SF always has great prices and will turn you around quickly. The are a tire specialist. Cash discount too.

+1 on East Bay Motorsports. They've worked on my FJR in the past and I would have no problem trusting them with a tire change. Not the fastest or cheapest, but they'll suffice. I'd still check out KC Engineering first.

Bought a set of PR4GTs today in San Fran. I HAD to replace the rear. The front was still okay-ish. But since I am heading to Oregon and it might rain there, I are the extra. It was 439 out the door at Santa Clara cycles.

I had 10k miles on the PR3s it could have been more. The bike had 36.5k on it when I bought it and it just rolled over 46.4k.

I hope they work out great cause it's not like I can return to the shop if there is a problem.
