I'm definitely in, sounds like a great time will be had by all.

And as far as getting the bike dirty: I'm OCD & it will wig me out. My 4-drawer roll away, dedicated to cleaning supplies, has more lotions & potions than the ladies working the cosmetics counter @ the mall.......

Thanks for putting this together, much appreciated!

Ed

Woah, yuz werse than me!

I don't mind getting my bike(s) dirty, I guess it gives me an excuse to grab a beer and go to town (not literally). Compared to my 2 step waxing on my 30' boat.... bike cleaning is like child's play!

OK, here's a link to the ride route I've dreamed up for after breakfast.

Foothills of Warner RTE

The GPS file was done in basecamp, so if you import it to your basecamp and send the route to your GPS from there it should have all the latest cool features.

Highlights of this Post Breakfast ride route will be lots and lots of rural Cow Hampshire roads (the kind with no center stripes), a few bumps on Rte 123A, a rest stop at the Alstead Village Store, cross the Connecticut River and hit a few VT back roads, East-West road in Dummerston, down to the newly rebuilt West Dummerston covered bridge, then catch the lower section of route 100 down to Wilmington.

From there we will turn east on Rte 9 and follow that all the way back up to Henniker (the only Henniker on earth) where we can all go our separate ways. Total distance is only 185 miles but the total seat time will a little over 5 hours (we will make rest stops at Alstead and Dummerston)

Oh yeah, and with 3 shiney new red ES bikes in the group, do I need to mention it? There will be no dirt roads.

Yessah - I've been freed from the chains of dealing w/a dirty bike!

And yes Mr. Speed - I am werse than yuz LOL.

T-minus 4 days to The Ride, looking forward to it.

Thanks Fred for setting this up. Really looking for to seeing you all again.

Being the owner of one of those shiney red ES's, I can only tell you how many times my riding buddy wanted to wash the bikes when we recently went to Marrietta, Ohio.

To those planning on attending Sunday's Breakfast RTE: Bring cash!! They don't take Visa and they don't take American Express, or any other damn plastic for that matter. There is an ATM a short walk down the street if you feel a desire to stretch your legs. And I hear they are always looking for dish-washing help!!

See y'all Sunday at The Foothills @ 9AM!

Thanks for the heads-up Fred, the forecast continues to be most excellent, see ya'll @ 9!

Cheers,

Ed

Wish I was going to be seeing y'all (not leaving Phoenix until Monday night)

Play safe!

Well, it would be difficult to imagine a better day! Very nice to see some familiar faces & to see some new ones as well. Many thanks again, Fred, for the RTE & route choices as well as the coordinating!! The day finished for me @ 276 miles & every one of them was a blast! I'm hooked on VT riding, to heck w/NH!

Thanks again, see you next ride & of course, I'll be farkled w/an internal bug zapper kit for my Multitec!

Cheers,

Ed

We're home now. 570 miles total for the weekend. What a GREAT time!!!!

Thanks Fred for posting this up and putting the route together. You put together an awesome route and you were a great leader.

Oh yeah, the breakfast was spectacular and we have photos to prove it! I'll get Jim to post his photos.

It was wonderful seeing familiar faces and meeting new peeps and just hanging out.

Thanks again!!

Glad that you kids had fun! What a beautiful day. We really did luck out.

So here's the question to ponder: How many NERDS can dine on one pancake at The Foothills of Warner?

Yeah, Foothills is a keeper for sure. I'm sure that some folks will make a return visit sometime in the future. But we will be better prepared next time and probably do more plate splitting. Looking forward to seeing some of the photo evidence. It was pretty amazing

What a great day for the FJR! 6am to 6pm for me.

I stopped at Fiddleheads in Hancock NH for a coffee and bite to eat at 7am and found Sunday summer hours are 8am open. Oh well I just had to settle on two breakfasts yesterday

I'd say one pancake would feed six of us. I don't see how he ate the whole thing

He didn't finish it. And at the rest stop in Wilmington, Grace was mad that he didn't take the rest of it to go in a box.

Josie and I split a cinnamon roll, and still had half of it left. I'll have some for breakfast today!
