How often is this happening, one time only? In rain only, any pattern? It's a new bike and aside from bringing it back to the dealer for them to look at I don't have good advice.

Sometimes I get a false neutral, but never had a gear indication just disappear. Make sure you aren't between gears. Maybe some of the more mechanically inclined can explain this.

Sorry, but good luck.

there is no patern and it's not the rain because did not rain here and the gear are in the right spot because the biki respond good i am trying to find time to go to a dealler but i am from canada and driving my bike around the usa time is rare but tx for the respond

Just a guess here, but if the 5 indicator is not always working, then probably when you are in neutral, the indicator thinks you are in first so it will not crank.

Next time it will not crank, pull in the clutch lever and if that helps it start it is probably the gear indicator switch assy adjustment or maybe a bad gear indicator switch.
