Neutral sending switch?

I have a 07 FJR1300 with 11000 miles on it and ocassionally the neutral light doesn't come on and bike won't start. If i rock bike in gear sometimes light comes on and starts does anyone have the same issue or know what the problem might be?

I had to eventually replace mine Neutral Switch Assy as the contacts wear down, since there is a little ball bearing that runs over the contacts for the different gear positions.

I would suggest replacing the O-ring at the same time as the rubber is likely pretty brittle and squared off by now.

I would just clean it up first and see if that improves. I know when I was chasing the problem with the neutral light coming on a few years ago I had that switch off and found the cavity to have dirty oil in it. Could be contaminated enough to interfere. Very easy to try before spending the money.
