last august for 10.800 screaming deal in my opinion.

i shopped around the southeast and offered to buy from whomever had the best deal.

had the cash but they financed for 65 months for 2.9%. was smarter to keep my cash.

I would buy from them again.

They have shops above Knoxville TN,

in Merietta and Conyers GA.

i will look for the card of the manager i made the deal with... he invited me to tell my friends to call them anytime and they will do their best to win your business.
Man that is one helluva deal. If he threw the send your friends thing out there feel free to pass on his info and I'll give em a shout.

Thanks again all for the great info. Gathering as much info as possible to help my chances once I get in the trenches of negotiations. Next week I'm gonna make an offer at a local dealer.

Do not use the AE price as a bench mark. The AE's (yes I'm a proud owner) typically sell for a few thousand less than the "A' regardless of the MSRP.
Man I wish I found that to be true but it wasn't :( when I shopped this past winter and spring. Both (year wise) were pretty close give or take but NO way "a few thousand less" ...wish that was true however as I really could have stolen mine!
I guess it's evening out as the AE inventories dwindle.

In 2009/2010 we where stealing the AE's. Supply and demand heaviliy favored the buyer.. I paid 10,300 out the door for my new 2008 in late 2009... A few thousand less than the price a the A model it was sitting next to.

My point is... The dealership is not paying the same $$ for a 2009 old stock AE. You can't walk into a dealership with the thought process an AE cost this much below MSRP, I expect you to sell me an A model at the same 4K below listed MSRP. It's not a apples to apples comparison. Walking into your local dealership with a price for the same bike being sold cheaper at another dealership is apples to apples.
Agree with the '09 b/c there was a stockpile of them sold to dealers at auction in Yami's NJ & somewhere else (I forgot :( warehouses. Dealers got an exceptional deal on these (I got inside scoop on this) BUT on lets say an '07 an 'A' and 'AE' are neck in neck with an AE sometimes higher.

So the comparison and benefit your seeing (~$2K) is b/c of the dealer buy-ins at auction on the mass amount of stockpiled AE's and passed on to consumers (well most dealers are anyway!). I bought in on this same strategy.
