Well, now that I"ve been on the forum for a while, I have to say this is a great place. I consider myself a forum veteran, having been on them now for almost 8 years, and the structure, stickys, and info provided here is top notch for sure :fans: .

With all my various rides, or the various rides the wife has had, I still frequent many forums, such as the VFR forums, but this place will be a constant for a while, as I plan on having the Feejer, for many years.

Anyway, I recognize a few folks here and want to send a shout out.

Hey dcarver,

Just cause I now have a FJR, doesn't mean I'll EVER go to the Pozo saloon with you again (thats a story I had forgotten in the depths of my burned out brain cells, that was brought back to memory upon a chance meeting out at Jalama beach a while back).

Hey Foxhuntr,

If you're reading this, we got to get together sometime soon.

The bike is in a state of "farkleism" and won't be ready until mid Dec or maybe later, but we'll have to plan something.

Hey Airhead124,

Just a shout out to say Hi.

To all those others on the Central Coast - I'm sure we'll meet at some point.

Randy

Ok, Ok, Pozo and the Salsa challenge is out. Gawd that was funny, I don't care who you are. And the fact you had forgotten all about it? Priceless. I'm sitting here trying to recall the old fart you challenged.. I think his name was Al Bailey. I'll need to ask Rhonda at the saloon; she'll know. Wanna go again? LOL.

So then, buckwheat, are you ready for Alaska and the Titty Bars?

Very good to see you with an FJR Randy! Really. At least my truck is safe from you pookin like a noob!

BTW, doode, I still have that very same F250, just in case you wanna try again! :yahoo:  LOL.

Seriously, very good to see you here on the forum!

I've not riddent with FoxHuntr yet, but have talked to him a couple of times.

I puked in your truck?? Come on now, you sure you aren't adding to the story cause you know I can't remember?

Geez, I told you the brain cells from that day were burned. :dribble:

Its funny though. After running into you after all those years (for other folks reading this, this event happened somewhere around 1983 or 84).....it started coming back to me, ever so slowly.

Anyway, we'll have to ride soon..........even if it is to the Pozo saloon.........I'm much more mature now :p

LOL, sure, you actually got into a game of one-upmanship with a crusty old codger..

who baited you in perfectly.

I actuallly attempted to warn you, but NOO, you were on a mission! LOL.

and yes, you puked out of the passenger window when the Game Warden pulled us over for obstensiably bagging out of season deer.

I'm praying he don't notice we're BOTH drunk, then you go to pukin outta the window?

Good stuff, I'm busting a gut as I post this..!

Cripes. Another dcarver fan with an FJR and a VFR. You can't sling a dead cat around here without... ...wait nevermind.

Great story but we need more details. That, and a place where I can buy keyboards in bulk. :p

Whoa, dcarver fan is a bit strong.........the dude took me out riding a dirt bike, and in an exhausted riding euphoria I indulged a bit too much spirits whereby he meticulously got me involved wiht a local in a bizarre game of ........drinking a bottle of hot sauce, or some such thing. Don likes to say the ole codger baited me in, but me thinks he had something to do with it. That was 25 years ago anyway.

VFR is a past ride, aside from the new FJR, I'm on an Italian stallion with the Aprilia........that V-Twin is a monster!

Whoa, dcarver fan is a bit strong...
Fabulous.
Don helped me out over the phone when I was stuck in western Colorado with the dreaded ignition switch failure. We haven't met but he's on my list of folks who I need to buy a beer for. Sounds like I need to add you as well. If you're in the Salt Lake area, drop me a line. I'm also on the assistance list. Welcome to the nut house.

ps - impressive list of rides!

Yeah, tongue in cheek of course. I worked with Don when I was a punk kid, and we had motorcycles in common. Good guy, but lots not tell him so he doesn't count on too many beers...............on second thought..... :matrix:
