Nice article. I think that's the most hard info on the bike I've seen... so how easy do you think these tires will be to find once the original set wears out? I think "rarer than hen's teeth" is the phrase you're looking for. At least Bridgestone understands that the BT-021 suffers on big heavy bikes.

And how much will the training skids option be?

Oh yeah, Kawasaki also updated the KIPASS key system. Instead of getting two key fobs when you purchase the bike, you now get one key fob (which you would keep in your pocket) and a small card-type key for emergency/backup use. The new card key includes an immobilizer function, but no remote activation, so you can leave it in the bike when you walk away and it will remain locked.
Huh? So the card key doesn't start the bike? What use is it, then? I'm obviously missing something.

I'll bet they'll be easy-peasy to find......at the Kaw dealer.....for $275 dollars a pop, installation extra.
Yep, that's one (sure) way.

Many aftermarket suppliers list OEM replacements and popular model specific suffix types at competitive prices -- it just takes more research from the buyer...

I've been using the previous C-14 spec'd 021 front (different suffix and heavier than the FJR spec'd suffix 021). And, I've pretty-much given-up on the regular, one-fits-all, for my FJR and my riding -- they just don't seem to hold-up.

In my case, the jury's still out on the 021 C-14 spec so-far -- but, after a few thousand miles it still looks good (every other 021 front I've had just went to hell in short order).

I'll be looking-at and watching the development and reports on the newest C-14 front 021 for my FJR.
