If this is more of what you had in mind when riding WV, it's in the works. It is 250-300 miles of mostly county roads 1 1/2 and 2 lanes, all mountainous and twisty...2nd and 3rd gear kind of twisty and with a few short segments (less than 5 miles each) of TIGHT one lane connectors.

CAUTION! THIS ROUTE IS NOT FOR THE MEEK! It is adventure touring an FJR.

Here are some teasers from the co-pilots perspective:

I swung wide to facilitate camera angle for this next one...

And the state highways (less than 50 of the total miles) connecting the various segments aren't too shabby either:

And who knows, you might even see something along the way that will cause you to do a double take:

or maybe even to say WTF:

Working with GPSmeister Jeff to get this one in the can. Since he only had to run about 10 miles total in VA :D , I think he kinda liked the parts of he's already traveled.

Thinking of calling it "Drew's Adventure Tour". Thought maybe if he had a route named after him, his half-assed "oh, it's the weekend after MotoGP, so I can't make it" ******** excuse would hold less water!! Hey Drew, you listening? :p

Sorry to make you feel even worse, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys are at Carnegie Fri night this year

So bring yourself down this way whenever you can and I'll take you on a guided tour!

Juicy pics, Jim. Looks like lotsa' fun.

Silly, Clinch Mountain IS the name of an area mountain... not what you do w/ your cheeks.

Do they cover any Seether or Nonpoint songs? how'bout Mudvayne? :punk:

That almost looks as good as some of the roads we did in Southeastern Ohio a couple of weeks ago

Yeah, but when we say changes in elevation here, it is measured in 100s and 1000s of feet, not in whoop-te-dos!! :D These roads don't lack for either. Come on over and see for yourself!

Just messin with ya'all...don't get me wrong we had a great time, but those twisty bits do look pretty tasty...I'd love to get down there at some point...enjoy

If you recall Mr. Violoine we invited you to go camping in WV a couple of weeks ago. You had some whine about birthdays & hurt knees or such.

PS... be HAPPY you didn't go.
