Who said FJR's don't do dirt?
You'll like the Grip Puppies. They are veny comphy indeed. I tend to run them in the summer months and remove them for the winter months. They do block a small portion of the heat from the grips.
Guys, guys... No need to argue. Those foks that had problems just used the wrong hairspray. That new-fangled designer fru-fru crap won't get the job done. Ya gotta go with the old standby Aqua Net, the stuff that'll keep a mid-1960's beehive hairdo standing tall in a hurricane. If you don't have a bar end larger than the diameter of the bar the possibility of a wet grip slipping off a bar at speed is in my mind something to be concerned about. https://www.603sports.com/20090627280/Tech-...ling-grips.html

I have used a set of grip puppies for the last 400 miles and IMHO alot better than the stock. I have factory heated grips and throttlemeister. This combination works well for me. I got them from this website and for under 10.00. https://www.casporttouring.com/optimizer/product/GPSMALL.html

yes it helpI purchased it from the last group buy that the forum had listed. I think it ended September 1, 2009. Below is the website. Mine is the black carbon without the FJR1300 embroider. IMHO it is very easy to put on and take off when I clean the bike and keeps me from scratching up the tank. Hope this helps. Dean

How well can you feel the heat with those over the heated grips? I have hesitated doing it thinking I would not get the advantage of the heated grips.I have used a set of grip puppies for the last 400 miles and IMHO alot better than the stock. Reviving to ask a question: Any reason grip glue won't work? Also, any reason not to use grip glue on throttle side? Saw something by someone on the Internets that you shouldn't use grip glue on the throttle side. For installation the hairspray worked on one side but I had a little trouble on the other side so I put some water in a pyrex glass bowl and heated it in the microwave. Put the grip in the hot water for a minute; heated and expanded the rubber. Quick dry w/towel; apply hairspray and it slipped right on. I waited overnight for it to cool and the spray to dry. It worked super well. I got the heat idea from my Hogue rubber grips for my Glock!
