My grips installed... :construction:

Remove the grip end by using a long screwdriver to remove the screw holding it on from inside. Chucked it up into the lathe to remove the center portion.

I removed the leather tassels from my levers for a better picture. Still trying to find some black leather tasseled and studded covers for the bags. Also in need of some bolt on ape hanger bars for the FJR and get rid of those pesky front brakes, they ruin the look of the front end. The straight pipes have really opened up the breathing on the FJR. I can really feel the power now. And you know, "Loud pipes save lives."

He's got Conchos on his underwear, don't let him bullshit ya. Back on topic, had the Tackis on, just wouldn't fit my smallish hands right, though they did seem to reduce the vibes getting through. Got the beemer grips now, they seem to be the best compromise. One solid up-they are sticky! Best friction of any grip I've used.

I put on a set of foam slip-ons from www.grip-tek.com Part number GCM, 5" length.

They're comfortable, will ease your numbness if you are experiencing any, and can be removed if necessary. No muss and no fuss installation, no interference with my Throttlemeister. Less than $20 for 3 sets, 6 grips total. A single set has been on my FJR for a year now in all kinds of weather in So Cal. Still look and feel great.

Another option are the Progrip Model 698 grips. These fit the FJR without having to reposition the left switch assembly and are much better than the stock grips.

About 8 bucks at your local dealer or favorite online store.
