Since we are on the subject of new honda's.

The XR650L has not changed one F'n bit. Still a thumper at heart.

Oh yeah, they did change the tank decal as usual. About the only way to distinguish between years.

Nice looking bike. Will soon be looking for a new bike for the Mrs. Was looking at the NT 700 but guess that is a done deal.

Porky little bastid... weighs in a tad shy of 500 lbs.

Dayum, the more I read about this little booger, the more I'm intrigued.

It's about time someone (Honda) decided to build a bike designed more for torque and MPG than for chasing down and killing rogue MiG-29s.

But....(there's always a "but" somewhere, isn't there)....45-50 hp is a LONG way from the FJR's 145, and a $2000 "penalty" for ABS and DCT is a bit harsh, if ya ask me.

Still, it seems like an interesting concept. We'll have to wait and see how it sells and gets accepted (or not) by the new generation of bike riders.

Keeping at least ONE eye on this for the future.
