New Leftover '07 Ae For Sale $12,500

Not sure if this is the correct place for this .............

I was just out at my local dealer Columbus Yamaha, they have a new leftover '07 AE for sale at $12,500.00

Can't be many new AE's left.

Small dealer but good people. I have a '13 FJR on order with them. This will be bike #5 from them for me.

$12.5k for a 6 year old bike seems a bit steep.

As for the 07, the minute you throw your leg over it and ride it out of the dealer's lot it is a 6 year old used bike worth maybe 50-60% of what you just paid.

That is not to say the dealer wouldn't be willing to deal, but having such a ridiculous asking price would be a real turn off for the vast majority of people looking to buy.

Actually it is probably only worth $12,900.

That's what I told the dealer last year when I bought my left over 09. I offered a little above what low mileage 09's were going for. He countered a little higher and threw in a windshield. I accepted.

Even though it's brand new, in the eyes of your insurance company or any bank you go to it is still a 6 year old bike! I saw a Honda dealer close to my home that still had a 2001 RC51 for sale brand new never titled just this spring.
