Welcome aboard! I feel like you are a kindred spirit, mostly because I purchased my 2014 FJR from a gentleman in Caldwell, TX. 
Welcome to the forum. With MI weather cooling, TX sounds pretty good. No comment on a couple months ago.

My first FJR was a Raven on Raven '09. I racked up over 30K mi. on that bike. I have a '16 Cobalt Blue ES now. I've added almost 40K mi. to this one in the 3 years I've owned it. They're fantastic machines. Enjoy and ride safe!
