Welcome from New Brunswick!!

1 - Check fuses
2 - Check switch
3 - Grounding issues (not an uncommon problem with early Gen II)

Usually, there are other symptoms also showing with a grounding fault (aka "spider" bite). Often, the headlight high beam indicator will be lit. Both signal light indicators on the dash dimly lit but no signals, glove box latch release doesn't work, windshield retract doesn't work. Sometimes wont start/run. Symptoms aren't consistent - depends on which multi-ground connector (spider) is affected and which feeds are interrupted.

If you don't have any of these things going on, I would focus on the fuses and switch (along with associated wiring).

Good luck.

IrishMick,

Welcome to the madhouse.! ;) Pull up a seat, and be among friends.

At the risk of being obvious, since the bike is new to you, see if all turn signals do not work, first. You should have running lights ON when the bike is running. Try to see (visually) if the bulbs have one filament or two - the PO may have installed the wrong P/N bulbs. They should have two filaments inside. Check the fuses and flasher unit, Beyond that, it can be a deep dive, so hang tough, and maybe we can help.

Hello. Thrilled to join the group. Just got a 2006 FJR and the signals don’t work. Horn lights and windshield all ok. Any ideas
First thing I did when I bought my 07 last year is check with Yamaha if your bike has had the recall done to the ignition wiring and the spider bite issue. Just input your VIN. Best of luck.
