For the past year CCM Motorcycles have been building momentum and interest around the new GP450 Adventure Bike. As covered in the British press such as Motorcycle News, Sunday Telegraph and Adventure Bike Rider as well as International Press and forums online, it’s clear CCM have hit a niche in the market that customers have been eager to have filled.

CCM have identified an opportunity within the fast growing Adventure market for a lightweight capable Adventure bike and throughout the year have developed this into a full production bike. Through our marketing campaign, we have generated over 2,500 enquiries. We have ran test rides with both the press and over 200 potential customer test rides and have listened to feedback from them to finalise the new production bike.

CCM have been busy over the last few years testing the new “Bond-lite” frame concept in the British & World MX1 Championships with much success including winning the 2010 Indoor Arena Cross British MX Championship.

We have taken this proven concept and applied it to the creation of the CCM GP450 Adventure bike.

Maximum effort has gone into the detail of this motorcycle, completely designed on our in –house CAD facilities resulting in a high quality beautifully finished product. Not only the motorcycle, but also a full range of accessories are available too. Please check out the video of our 3D CAD build of the bike -

Production will begin in March 2014.

We have just returned from an extremely successful launch at the NEC Motorcycle Live Show where we were able to secure more pre-orders and generate over 300 enquiries, all of whom are interested in test rides throughout the UK. We are keen to maximise on the show’s success and start recruiting dealers.

Our marketing strategy is to appoint 10 new UK dealers in Q1 2014. We can offer excellent profit potential for a dealer with the CCM GP450 Adventure bike and its accessories with realistic targets and bonus schemes.

If you feel that you would like to discuss the CCM dealership opportunity in more detail, then please contact our marketing manager [email protected] or contact Alice by telephone on 01204 544930 and Alice will arrange an appointment for a convenient time to meet.

Negatives:

1) Hecho en England! Warm beer because of Lucas refrigerators.

2) New bike teething and performance problems are very possible!

3) Absolutely no current United States or Canada dealer network!

Positives:

1) 286 lb. light weight, since I'm a ***** offroader: Lighter is good!

2) I still have a soft spot in my heart and my head for British Iron!

3) That 450 engine is a proven commodity, my BMW buds own it!

If I had PowerBall-DonStanley's money, I would just buy it. His garage is just itching for it, ya can just tell in his text

Parts Network? Naaa, who needs stinking parts anyways! If/when it breaks, you just buy a new one.

It looks like a good idea that would probably sell well if it were marketed by one of the known name manufacturers, like maybe Husaberg. And the price would have to be a lot less. I'd rather have a street legal WR450.

Yep, I'm with you 100% Greg; Big-D of Lake Havasu City, Arizona made his WR450 AZ Department of Motor Vehicles street legal, I need to find out how Dan C. did it!

+1

The engine is made by Kymco of Taiwan, who make the BMW engines and gazillions of their own bikes and scooters. A huge question is the gear ratio, as the BMW and Husaberg versions are narrow ratio. And the BMW 450 hasn't been a huge hit.

With UK assembly costs? BMW design and parts availability for a UK boutique brand?

Anybody seriously interested may want to look into how few Christinis have been sold and the issues their owners have had. (https://www.christini.com/bikes/christini-awd-450-ds)

Christini is in Philly near my son, and uses a Kymco-built Honda 450 in their own frame, adding a slick front wheel drive. US Special Forces operate some. To keep costs down, many of the other parts are also from lesser Taiwan suppliers and there have been enough enough nuisance, drivability, and other issues that the owners discuss, it's not like buying a product with all of the development kinks already worked out. I talked to the owner of a 2 year old bike that just sold near here for $4500 at huge loss and he said that it was a cool bike but he got tired of chasing issues.

I've got a WR250R and would be all over a WR450R.

Why not just drink orange Kool-Aid and get a KTM 500 EXC? https://www.ktm.com/us/enduro/500excusa/highlights.html#.Ur7Aj50o6Uk
I sat on one of those at the dealer showroom. I jumped an and used my momentum to get the bike upright, then realized that I could not touch the floor on either side and I was in the middle of a row of brand new bikes. I quickly realized that I had to tilt the bike over on one side or the other in order to get a toe down. Luckily I didn't fall over. Whew.

Anyway, I agree that a KTM would be at least as good and probably cost less.
