Well after ogling the new Vmax for a while, I took the plunge and ordered a new Max. All I can say is what a hoot of a bike, 25mpg. 70 mile range.

Bloody good fun, the torque is unbelievable and the exhaust sounds amazing. :yahoo:

I rode an older version years ago. It nearly ripped my arms out of the sockets. What a hoot! I wish you the best of luck with the new toy.

Nope, just read the reviews and watched the various video clips. They are very rare in this country, only 150 sold!

This just made it all the more tempting to the point where I just went to the Yamaha site and placed my order.

I'll never forget my first ride on a V-Max in 1985. The Yamaha dealer had a display at a trade show and knew I was riding an 1100F Honda at the time. He tossed me the keys and informed me the speedo cable was disconnected (didn't want too many miles on the odo). I respectfully took it fairly easy, but I do remember lofting the front wheel easily with a power shift from first to second. That thing had balls.
