New Sony camera

It looks excellent. I like cameras that can be tossed into the tank bag or carried in a pocket. The video specs look pretty good as well.

Both have great spec.'s. The only negative in my book is not being able to use AA batteries. I am leaning a little more toward the Panasonic, just because of the Leica lens.

Yeah, but can you drop either of them in a bucket of water, or 5ft onto concrete? That's the advantage of the Sony. Otherwise they're all crap compact-point-n-shoots. (Well, the "Intelligent Sweep Panorama" *is* a feature I'd love on my cameras...)
