This ride is put on by a group of people that are just the kind of good folk ya want to spend a whole weekend hanging out with on a regular basis. If you made it to the 3rd Annual Moonshine Run there is a good chance you met a fair portion of them.

Evansville, Indiana

6th Annual Polar Bear Ride New Years Day. We are going to have our 6th Polar Bear Ride this January 1st. We will meet at the Best Buys store (It was a K-Mart when we started this 6 years ago) at the corner of the Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt road. Departure time is 12:30 PM so please try to arrive a little early, with a full tank of gas, so we can visit and kick a few tires before we take off. This is a fun ride, no entry fee, just a great way to get the new year off to a good start. Depending on the temperature we will ride from 1 to 3 hours, and end up at the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Green River Road between Highway 62 (Morgan Ave) and the Lloyd Expressway.

We have had as few as 10 or 15 bikes and as many as 40 or so.

We will ride regardless of the temperature but will not ride if the roads are slick or frozen.

Please pass the word to all your friends. Everyone is welcome...

Regards

Bob Johnson

Hope to see a few of you there,

Nate

I called Bob and Evansville - New Harmony - Wadesville - Poseville - then loop back is the tentative rt at the moment. All 2 lane fun roads as far as I remember. Pace will be moderate. It would be good to see you again.

How'd that work out today? I looked at the thermometer and it said 19 degrees.

I thought about you, then thought you're probably in a cube of ice in a ditch somewhere. :cold:

Yes we made it to Evansville....in the Lexus 4 wheel drive. It has snowed too hard north of Indy for me to get the bike there. But the weather was still ok down south and the group did ride. We met them after at the b'dubs and helped them thaw out.
