New York inspection with Trooper mod

Hello all!

Just relocated from Oregon to upstate NY. Got my bald tires swapped today and the shop owner tells me that NY DMV is now requiring them to look for exhaust mods and fail the inspection. He did not say whether or not mine would fail but I was wondering if any of you have had issues (or passed inspection) with the trooper mod.

Look at it this way...you MIGHT fail the state DMV inspection....

....but at least your pipes may puke out their guts like maddad's did!

Well I'm a NYS motorcycle inspector. I work for a Powersports dealer. Our shop hasn't been informed about this. We have been inspecting motorcycles are year long with aftermarket exhaust systems.

Wait- wot wuzz I gonna say...oh yeah-Phibbs Power Sports in Albany, NY is real picky on inspections and my Feej with the mod just passed no sweat..
