Well, after my first year I finally got off my ass and added a few farkles myself and have a few more in the wings.

Here's the list so far...

FZI mirrors

V-strom handgaurds

powerlet in front panel

Corbin two piece w/ heat

Blue seas pdb (thank you everyone for all the help, especially randy for the schematic)

Kisan brake lights

powerlet dual rear

reflective tape for top and side cases

NEXT on the list

BMW grips

dual star heated grips

auto or starcom

frame sliders (I know I know!)

turn signal modulator

givi or the shur top case

new stator

and god knows all the do it yourself maintenance stuff i've bought and done!

THIS BOARD IS THE BEST!

Now if you guys could be in sedona sept 14 and kidnap me.......

Nevermind she carries a 9mm ,a .38 spcl & her badge EVERYWHERE :gun: same as her dad and brother-in-law. Might as well be a shotgun wedding, there's enough firepower to make Trinibob smile, although not big enough to impress him :trinibob:

I have a cordless drill at home that I call Excaliber. Once you pick it up, it can't be put down until it has drilled a hole in something expensive and irreplacable.

I've had my '05 FJR for less than a month, but have already farkled - mostly to address many of the issues brought up.

The list - so far:

Grip Puppies - nice for squelching the vibrations, but seem slippery. Maybe I'll re-farkle with Tacki-grips. I had Tacki-grips on my V-Strom and Ducati 900SS and loved them.

D&D risers - I opted for the 1" high, 10-degree forward version. Helps a bunch with soreness.

Powerlet - FYI......DO NOT drill the hole it the wrong spot! It will cost you $45 to replace the panel

Accessory Shelf - bolted by RAM mount on it. My 276C is in a better spot, but seems to move around more than when I had it on the handlebar mount.

Tankslapper protection - yet to be installed

Throttlemeister - this is the first throttle-lock I've ever had. I like it a lot, but I wish Yamaha would put a factory cruise control option on this bike - the K12GT has one. I took a run at the Vista Cruise option, but didn't want to hack into the throttle just to make a $30 Vista Cruise work. Anybody want an unused Vista Cruise? PM me if so.

Farkles I still want:

Trunk, with backrest

V-Stream or CalSci screen

Seat - maybe before another long trip

Driving lights

That's it so far.

Welcome Drew!

Saw the update, you're doing just fine.

When you get to level two, you'll know the bike is in your blood for sure.

Level Two Farkles:

Wilbers Shock & Fork Springs

Soopah Doopah Searchlight High Beams, known as Phillips HID lamps

Replacement exhaust headers

Tanji Fuel Cell

PCIII Engine management module

That's all I can think of for now...

Also, you know you're reaching level two when:

You have more than two windshields and you haven't contemplated selling any of them
