So as I sit here contemplating my oral surgery to remove three teeth that have not survived the long battle I have been waging over my dislike of the dentist office and all the sharp pointy objects they like to stick in my mouth ( the pretty hygienists some times make it worth it), I decided to see if I could distract my self from the current pain I'm in and learn something new from this great bunch of wise and all knowing pros. ( Do I need to lay it on any thicker)
Being completely new to motorcycles I have a lot to learn , so when I bought my bike I got the maintenance plan so I wouldn't mess anything up. Now I did a lot of the PM work on my cages and, other than leaving the oil cap off one time and burning up the engine ( my first car, expensive lesson learned) I think I could eventually do this all myself on the bike. But as I read through the different pages and topics of this wonderful (still laying it on) forum, I see things that make me wonder...
What is considered PM and what is considered "tuning" ( if that's the right word)? What do I need to ask them to do and what should be done ( not to them but to the bike) even when they tell me it's not necessary?
Like TB sync, is this something they will do or do I need to ask for it done? Is it really necessary, though the smoother ride sounds nice...
If I could have a "ground hog day" (1993, Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell,Chris Elliott, great movie) I could continue to peruse these info overload pages and probably figure it all out however, it's time for my 4000 mile service so is there anything not in the manual that I should have done?
Thank you in advance to all you great and amazingly wonderful Ladies and Gentlemen for all your wonderful help and advise. ( Is it getting deep in here?)
OH OH my aching tooth!!!
