Good point. Using the bike computer. I have done comparisons (i.e. miles/gal put in) vs. bike computer, and the bike computer is generally 3-4 mpg higher. Are you checking your mileage using the bike computer? I'm asking because when I installed my PC3 the computer started reading wildly optimistic. In other words, I check my mileage manually and I average 37mpg yet the computer tells me I'm getting 48mpg. The problem is that the bike computer only knows how much fuel it's computer is calling for, yet the PC3 is adding extra fuel that the bike computer doesn't know about.06 stock+PC3, I get 48mpg on backroads, mostly 3rd gear, 5-7k rpm.
But 90mph on the interstate in 5th, 38 mpg.
So it appears wind resistance is really the culprit, not the engine, rpm, or load.
