If this electric shift is excepted well, I'd bet when Yamaha puts crusie control on the next generation electric shift, it will have a auto shift available.

Would you buy or not??

I want another factory gadget-thingy that like the BMW automobile, calls me on the handlebar-mounted satellite phone to tell me that the oil needs changing, and then the thermal printer in the left-side luggage prints a complete record of all the oil and filter "discussion" threads from this site.

Oh, christ! Not another AE thread! Sheeesh! This is worse than the 'what oil/gas/grease/tires/air pressure/condoms do you use' threads...

I'm married, so condoms are a thing of the past. But there was a time when I preferred Trojans.... :D

No No No Guys! Haven't you heard?

Arlan Ness is building no less than two

dual engine FJRs with four CHROME superchargers

and SONY remote controlled shift!

The fastest one IS blue! :boss:

FNESSJR 2600 SC

Maybe the 2007 model will have OnStar!
Just f***ing shoot me... I would rather walk than own a vehicle that can be turned off remotely, or the cops can listen to me fart and belch w/o my knowledge or permission. Hell, I'd rather have one of those automagic tranny FJR-AE models...

PS- SkooterG- that, I say THAT- was a JOKE, son. About the AE, anyway.

True. OnStar is evil.

Maybe Yamaha will merge with BMW and we can all get Yambeemer's
Great. The cams will grind themselves to bits before the valve guides can go bad, and it'll take a Cray II supercomputer to sync the throttle bodies, and we'll only get to pay $10k more for the experience.

Cray II ?? That's way old school. No-one does submerged circuits these days.
