I'm off work this week and many of the projects are finished, bicycle ride on the Trail of the Coeur d' Alene's was accomplished yesterday so, the FJR really needed some love. I haven't been to the top of Mt. Spokane State Park in a while and this morning is bright and sunny. Off we go.
One the way the fields are just a cornucopia of yellow and purple and I thought the FJR made a nice juxtaposition to this explosion of color.
The top of Mt. Spokane is visible from my near my house at about 25 mi. flying distance or 45 mi. riding distance. Normally, the snow on the very top is all gone by now. I've lived here in Spokane for 20 years and don't believe it's ever had the final 1/2 mile to the top blocked by snow on the road but guess what? Today, that final part was closed to all due to snow still there at 5883 ft. I'd say I was at about 5,000 ft. for the next pics.
All in all, a very nice ride and a bit hot at 88 degrees just before noon on the way down.
Hope you enjoyed.
