Any one here tried a No-Mar Tire changer? I am looking at buying next winter and was wondering if there are any negative / positive experiences with them.

Thanks I tried searching but I aint too good with google and the forum search yielded zero results. Looks like a definite purchase this next winter.

the upside is like the name "nomar" you can change the tires and there will be no scratches on the wheels. I like that. I had problems with the harbor freight changer, but the nomar does a nice job.

Have the JR Pro model. works great. Will take a few tires to get the technique. But once you got it, it is very fast and easy. Don't forget to get a good static balancer too.

I've had one for about two years and really like it. It's taken me more than a few sets of tire changes to get the hang of it (still haven't mastered it).

Yeah, agree with everyone here. Had mine for little more than a year, and have changed probably 7 sets, some for friends.......and its great. Follow their video and watch what they do, and it actually is pretty easy. Once I have both wheels off, I can perform the whole process, including balancing, on both wheels in around 45 minutes. :yahoo:

Not sure if it's just me but once I bought their Yellow Thing my life got easier. Chasing that frigg'in bead can wear a man down. <_<

That and paying attention to teh video on where they actually lube the rim and tire. Made a big difference.

Yes, and Yes. Probably the two biggest things that made it easier for me too. Another tip would be if you're mounting during the day.......let the new tires sit in the sun for a little while.

Or let the tire soak in the jacuzzi for 30 minutes or so. Afterward the tire damn near jumps onto the rim by itself...

Hey honey, Don says we need to buy a jacuzzi to make tire changes easier.

No really... if you have a problem with that just call him. Here is his cell phone number... ;)

Using the forum search:

NoMar

While using the forum search one must use "questions" more than 3 character sooooo "+no +mar" won't work because each word is less than 3 letters long.

I haven't used mine since we bought them. I'm due to change the worn front PR2 (I have a new 021 in the garage) so I'll get to play with the new toy.

TC421's are awesome but just the Deluxe Motorcycle Adapters that you need is $199 bucks. Don't remember what the changers was, $1000 plus if I remember correctly.
Nomar often posts sale on eBay (like this one: https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycle-...motiveQ5fTools). Beside $50-$100 off, they offer free shipping with 'Buy it Now'. I got mine with $50 off and free shipping (it was more than $100 to just ship to California if I didn't get the free shipping).
