Another 5"-7" possible through Saturday. It's been a very wet year but especially a wet Sep & Oct. I don't go out in the rain if I don't have to but I carry a rain suit and don't mind getting caught out in it occasionally.

The problem with the rains and flooding we've been having is that access to my house is cut off by water flowing above 3 small bridges surrounding me. The road dept sets up barricades and signs but people take them down and the more adventurous drive through the water. I do it in my truck but sure won't do it on the FJR.

Do the snorkle farkle. ;)

The rain stopped yesterday afternoon. Today is beautiful, 60F and sunny. These are all within 1/4 to 1/2 mile of mi casa.

Good advice!

The truck can go through these but not the FJR...well, it might but it doesn't have to. By tomorrow maybe the water will recede some & I can escape.

I had to clean up water in my basement. first time in 10 years of living here.

The road I live on runs the top of a ridge line in the northernmost reaches of the ozarks so it is pretty much down hill in all directions.

Never thought I would EVER see water in my basement.

Crazy ass weather

The weather Girl on one of the local channels informed us this morning that this has been the second wettest October recorded since they started keeping records back in the1800's. All spoken in her bubbly, sunshiny, happy, smiling voice. I wanted to bitch slap her so BAD! :grrr:
