First time I have not been able to get a good bid on a bike on Ebay. 05ABS 19,000 miles reasonable farkle load best we could do was $8500.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe it’s because:

1.) Depending on where you are from, nearing the end of the riding season

2.) Many seem to be upgrading to the “improved” ’06

3.) There seems to be a glut of used low mileage FJRs on the market

4.) Won’t be long and it will be time to preorder for the ‘07 model

Maybe you could try Cycle Trader?

Best of luck with the sale!

yes on all.

Don't have to sell it. May mothball my AE and ride the wheels of the 05 as the weather cools down. Off to the EOM soon and that will put another 3 tho on it, plus it has brand new tores.

It's not the bike or the price.

Cash is scarce.

Financing is relatively costly.

It's the end of the month.

Consumers have less disposable income.

Money is getting tight everywhere. Read on MSN that bankruptcy is back on the rise.

I sold my 05 ABS w/12k mi, reasonably well farkled and well maintained for $9900 on Craigslist in Seattle-Tacoma. I got more hits from Craigslist than any other source.

I also agree with the post that many are opting for the 06. Two guys who contacted me ended up getting 06s.

I think FJRZON has it right. Less 6 days ago I paid $9,000 for an 05 with 6,300 miles on it. Right now seems to be a buyers market.

$8k for an '05 last month with 8.9k miles, farkles and YES through 2009.

I would have preffered an '06 but passing that $9,999 mark was a no go for my wife.....I mean I just talked her into my last bike 12 months ago and still have it too.....didnt want to press my luck.

Hey Trip, how've you been? You might just hang onto that 05 for a bit. The way you ride, I'd of thought you would have liked it better, much sportier, quicker, more nimble than the 06. I did like the change in the windshield. That was a vast improvement, the stocker blocks more air better than my big Rifle did, and I like the smoother ride, but as for the rest.....I'll keep the 05 by along shot. Are you going to Eureka with us?
