I've been waiting for the rain to wash the salt off the streets, but dang, today the streets washed off the roads!

I was almost flooded out of my house – that is to say it took me 2 hrs of detours to find a route that eventually led to my street. On my FJR a 2 hr ride home would be good day, but with the water lapping at the door sills of my cage while dodging trees, power lines and air-born trash cans it suxs. I'm one of the fortunate NH residents to find my house dry inside, all the downed branches are in the yard, not on my roof and Feejer is patiently trickle charging away in my garage.

Yep. I'll take the shaking ground over New England winters any day. Glad you didn't have to don your snorkel and flippers! I'd better call mom and see how she's fairing...

Glad you're high and dry.

I can relate. Triple threat here today - snow advisory, flood and high wind warning - state of emergency declared. Mudslides and downed trees to go w/ it. We're on the tail end of what you're area is getting.

In holding pattern for spring.....

Hey Alan,

Didn't you order the pontoons and paddlewheel option for your bike?

We had a bunch of rain and wind but not much else. My buddy on Plum Island is trapped. The road to his house is flooded. I guess there were 12 foot swells crashing onto the beach earlier. Lots of beach erosion too.

I hear that the sun might show up Friday or Saturday. WTF?

Ionbeam...you should see Rutland, VT (near me). It looks like a TORNADO went through the city. Trees up rooted all over the place. On homes, garages, cars and trucks to name a few things. Not much flooding here but WHAT A MESS. My FJR is still in winter nap mode waiting for the weather to finally break.

Glad to hear you /yours have made it through okay so far.

We had less water issues (Westford, MA is kinda hilly which helps) but the rain softened the ground and the wind did the rest -- lots of down trees /roads blockages /other damage.

It all just helps make Summer that much more special -- and desperately anticipated!!!!
