Conflicted emotions...

Just back from WF09 -

Everyone but me sleeping... a 600 mile day, the best EVER for Ms. Dcarver, and the first 'lane-sharing' experience for her...

but my itch ain't yet scratched... my heart and soul want to know where tomorrow?

...can I sneak off for another ride?

I want to see an abandoned train track...

Hopefully you know what I'm typing about...

Yeah Don, I know what you're talking about. First thing I did after getting back from CFR was start thinking about the next trip. The pleasure we get out of just RIDING... hard to describe, but I hear ya.

Don, first I want to say how much fun it was meeting you and the missus. I didn't realize how funny and smart you can be  .

I had a great WFO this year, and can't get the grin off my face.

As to your question: yeah. The wife and I took the long way home, but still only 300 miles. She is pooped, and she drove her car. I'm ready to ride, but I need to get some errands done. I am already thinking of my next meet in a month; going back to the Lost Coast on a dual-sport. Camping, hanging with guys that have gone to other continents and around the world on motorcycles, learning tricks to survive and thrive in adversity and experiencing off-the-beaten-path sights and sounds for a week.

Yeah, the detailed planning begins today. I can't wait to get going again.
