The R1 will flip on you in first gear, but the Feejer is no problem. Hold it open and let 'er rip!
I hope you are right. Would I be correct in assuming that the FJR is more likely to do a wheelie if I have a passenger? It would seem to me that more weight in the back would have that effect. I've only been riding 50+ years, but wheelie's were never a part of my scheduled operation, and I don't wish to scare anything out of anyone (Driver or passenger) that should remain on the inside until sitting in the proper spot.
I wouldn't wheelie with anyone on the back.

Over at sport-touring.net some guy lost his 13 year old SON off the BACK of his bike when he hit the gas to get away from a jerk in a truck. Kid flew off the back of the bike at 75MPH. No wheelie involved in this sitch.

Boy was in full gear, suffered a minor bruise and scared the crap out of dad.

My fear on the wheelie is not only flipping, but when the front tire hits the ground getting a tank slapper.

I have no intentions of purposely doing a wheelie with or without a passenger. :nono: I was just wondering if the front end is more likely to leave the ground if you are two up.

I think I've had the front end up (just barely) several times when crossing one of the roads in the area. I normally ride alone, but I have noticed that with the top box loaded, the front tire gets light a lot easier.
