City folks. 
I've seen this done all my life in places that had no high tech tools. There's no tire that can't be mounted with a John Deere lug wrench, a sledge hammer, and a can of ether. WD and so called starting fluids are for *******, real men use ether. The results of over application can be spectacular. I've seen truck wheels 6-8 feet in the air immediately after the bead seating and even tires partially dismounted. Good technique is to spray a fuse to drop the match on, that way you're out of the danger zone. DAMHIKT

Ether, my old friend. I recall mounting tractor tires that were a couple of feet taller than me with ether when I was in middle school. Fun, scary, exciting, dangerous, and efficient. The real joy was dismounting and emptying the fluid filled tractor tires with hand tools only. Nothing like using tire irons that were up to 6 feet long. Now there was some hard work to be had. Ahhh, the joys of being the son of a rural Iowa farm implement shop owner/mechanic.

Ain't that the truth. I hadn't thought about a *filled* tire in years. One got away from us once and I wasn't quite quick enough. I didn't break a leg, but walked with a limp for a good while.

The guy I bought my tractor from told me there wasn't fluid in the tires and I believed him. Stupid mistake. It missed me but took out a few other things in the shop. Had to get the engine hoist to pick it up and get it back in place. :angry2:
