Goin to Va Beach, with the Venturers. Just wondering how the Naval airshow compares with others. I've been to Dayton a few times and was impressed.

Back in the 80s I was puttering along in my old Champ and was in radio contact with Oceana. The airshow was in progress. I was flying north at 3000' msl with Oceana on my starboard side. The Oceana controller told me to look to my left. Wow! Two F-14s in formation flew past me, beneath me, on their way to a fly-by. It was the first and only time I saw military jets flying below me. Very cool.

That might be a nice ride. I havent been back to Oceana since I was discharged.
Yeah, its just not an airshow without the Tomcats. And I still can come to grips with having Whore-Nuts based at Oceana. Just ain't right....
