Anyway, the specialist treating you is an Electrophysiologist. In fact, Dr. Andrew Epstein, in Birmingham, is one of the most respected EPs in the country. Highly recommended, if you can get to him.
Do you have an "accessory pathway" or something called Wolf-Parkinson White syndrome?
According to my GP, there are only 3 of those fellas in the state. The one treating me is a Dr. Troupe. (He kinda looks like Radman.) Any info on him? He stated that his personal percentage rate for complications was less than 1%. Yes, I asked.

I am not sure which type of short circuit it is. All I heard was, "I can fix that."

After they fix the SC in the ol' ticker, have 'em take another 5 minutes and tighten up those noggin screws, too. ;)
Hell, those screws are missing.

You're lucky that last SVT episode didn't kill you! 5.5 hours?!
They said the fact that I went that long without serious adverse affects was a good indicator of healthy, non-blocked arteries.

This should qualify you for "protected status" and provide you with all sorts of entitlements

You contacted Yamaha yet to see if they are going to take care of this ticker repair?

Glad they found the problem and good on BB for making you go.

So no pacemaker then?

Too bad, becuase if you get one, you get to skip the long lines at the airport. Plus you get felt up by a TSA worker every time.

Nothin sexier than a butch TSA worker, Grrrrrrrr Baby!

Scabby, you're scaring me !!

Quit screwing around and get it fixed, k?

Like TWN says, "I really don't wanna read any more obits."

This place wouldn't be the same without you, or Mrs. Scab. Mostly Mrs. Scab, ....

Wow, scab....I guess bein fugly ain't yer only problem. Maybe you need to drink more.................

Great that they found the problem... good luck on the procedure. Give me a ring when your in B'ham. Lunch is on me.

And that is exactly what you want to hear the doctor say!!! I'm sure you'll be alright, especially if the guy is as smart as Radman!

Good Luck

jim

Scab,

I am glad that you now know what is causing the problem and get to know what the problem means for you. Always listen to your better half (BB) because if she's been sticking with you this long, she's not about to give you crappy info. And WHOEVER made that comment about Viagra hasn't looked at your avatar, have they?

Anyway, live long and prosper and ... I wounder if you can get a handicap sign for your bike?

V.

Do what they say, get better and ride some more. If they tell you you cant ride, dont take it to heart, pun intended. You will sail through this and feel better too. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Live to Ride !

Blessings,

Bobby

Glag you are O K death was knocking at your door. I have a nephew when he was baby and still today he had a heart problem it would beat over 200 times per minute

I made several trips taking him to the hospital in San Fransico for the DRS. to slow it down, he took a drug called digitalis to control it.

One lucky dude you are.....

Wow! That's quite the story. Hope all goes well with the ablation. If not, I read some advice elsewhere on the forum about jumper cables, an FJR and some Jack Daniels. (Or is that the procedure that you have planned?)

Jumper cables and Jack Daniels....hmmm.... I have to admit, that does sound a bit more attractive than my "Buck knife and a soldering iron" plan.

Holy crap Scab! I'm glad that story has a happier ending than I thought it was going to have. I'm not sure I can take anymore rotten news at this point. Make sure you take care of yourself and Kudo's to Mrs. Scab for setting the record straight about how many incidents there really were.

Scab stay pro active on this heart stuff.

A friend and co-worker of mine (Dwight Tidwell) for 15 years failed to show up for work yesterday. He did not answer his phone. Some people here went to his apt. to ck on him, and saw him through a window laying on the floor.

They believe it was a heart attack......he was only 56.

speaking from vast personal experience I can state that in the 45-55 age category there a LOT of heart-related walking time bombs out there just waiting for a day and time to go off - both men and women.

Just save the jumper cables for the bike and the Jack for when the doc says it's ok. <G>

You take care and good thing you have a super wife!

Mary

Glad to hear all is going to get better....Glad your wife finally made you listen and go to the Dr.......haven't you always heard that the wife is always right?......LOL.....

Roy and Sherrie

Good luck with the ablation. The fact that you survived that long with a heart rate of over 200 is a great indicator that you have good coronary arteries, but you took a heck of a chance not calling the ambulance. Listen to the wife next time. Give us an update after the fix.

drop us all a note to let us know how you're doing there Mr S

I wish you all the best for a speedy visit with the docs and smooth recovery,

cheers - Mr B
