# Of FJR's Sold/year

Hay gang. I'm at WeSTOC in San Luis Obispo and a question has come up re the nitch market for FJR's and ST1100 & 1300. The figures according to an ST expert are there are only 1200 or so ST1300 sold/year in US. I said there are over 5,000 FJR's sold in US/year, based on my recollection on someone commenting as such on this web site, or that other one I will not mention. Anyone have the facts on this issue?

Best estimates are that in 2002 something like 1,650 "2003" model FJRs were imported to the USA, and at least 60 (maybe more) imported into Canada. Last year, in 2003, the number of FJRs imported was probably more like 2,450.

I also recall reading someplace (on this forum) that there were around 5000 '05s sold during the first round of PDP. Anyone have this info handy?

P.S. Ed Grant is here at WeSTOC with his FJR--with rear seat mounted gas axillary tank-- and another FJR. I do not know the owner of that one, but it has the German alternator case cover that I have been waiting three months for through Wild Hair Accessories to receive.
