I spent a LOT of years in Johnson City, and learned to ride a motorcycle there. Let me know if you need any info.

And Jeff: Don't forget 19 out of Erwin and into NC, that was a good ride!

About 3 hrs. away from my son. Maybe this will be a dual trip. Can't go to TN without seeing him.

Yes this is AWESOME! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Thanks to JWILLY and all that are involved.

Now this is something for us to look forward to! Gonna have to take more vacation this year (and I promise not to end up in a hospital this year!!)

Annette and I are so looking forward to seeing everyone again, sharing the road and good times with good friends!!

FYI,

Johnson City ranked #73 out of 354 metropolitan areas – criteria based on cost of living, job outlook, climate, crime, transportation, education, the arts, health care, and recreation

29th lowest crime rate of 261 MSAs surveyed

Top 40 Best Performing Small Metros

Most Affordable

Best Performing City in Tri-Cities, #6 in Tennessee

Top 100 Cities to relocation, #9 Best Smaller Metro – Forbes

#40 Hottest Small Cities - Inc

Sounds pretty good to me. Now what's to eat down there. Any Lobster? or just grits?

Just a thought

Damn! Not this year. But, I will be riding around the west coast then. :yahoo: Maybe I'll meet you all next year, or somewhere on the road until then.

Cool. I put Thursday through Monday on my vacation schedule so I'll probably show up Thursday night and leave early Monday AM.

SHAWEET!!! I have family all over the place in East Tennessee! Johnson City, Elizabethton, Mountain City, Bristol, etc. This is quite funny too. My buds here at work are trying to get me to attend the BMW National Rally which is in Johnson City July 15-20. I told them I don't know, I'm waiting on the EOM Announcement and don't know that I can do both. BMW who?

COUNT ME IN!!!

I will be there in July. My brother has a R1200RT and I ride with him to the BMWMOA every year. This year at Johnson City. I will give a full report in the future.

I will talk to the wife about going. I would like to meet everyone in person.

I love riding in that area of the country. Only 800 miles north.

Excellent...been through this area a few times and it doesn't disappoint! I'm on and I just forwarded this link to my son.

Only 900 miles south for me. I hope I can get the time I need for this year's EOM.

I've spent a lot of time traveling back and forth from Johnson City when dealing with Texas Instruments. As a bonus my parents are only 120 miles west in Knoxville.
